I was really looking forward to Jane Uggla's wedding to Matt Patterson for several reasons. Jane is the younger sister of an old friend and former roommate of mine and she has been a lifelong friend of my younger brother Glennon. Also, I know the Uggla's put on good parties! The ceremony took place at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Columbia. It is my favorite church to photograph at in Columbia though the chappel was very dark and challenging during the ceremony. The church is located next door to the home of James K. Polk, the 11th president of the United States. We were lucky to be able to take advantage of the well kept garden behind the Polk Home and then only had to cross the street to get to the reception at the War Memorial Building.
